OUT OF THE BLUE

I was hanging around Polipundit last night and stumbled across the link to this remarkable website (hattip: greg). It seems the Chosetheblue.com site was created to allow politicially correct bluestaters to make sure they do not render unto Republicans any of their currency.

The site breaksdown US companies by catagories and then lists the percentages of donations to both the Republican party and the Democrat party. A quick scan of the catagories reveals some fascinating information about the politicial persuasions of our favorite businesses.

It will come as no surprise that ABC and CBS donated heavily to the Kerry campaign. But did you know that FOX gave twice as much to Kerry as to Bush? And that General Electric, the parent company of NBC, gave way more to the Bush campaign than the Kerry campaign? This is particularly wierd in light of the recent study that shows NBC to be way more biased against Christianity in their programing than the other MSM dinosaurs. Read about that study here.

Without too much effort it is possible for a redstater to use this site to quickly assemble a list of pro-Republican business to frequent and a list of pro-Democrat businesses to avoid. I like the idea of giving my business to businesses that share my redstate values. How 'bout you?
